Harry Ballan

Harry is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in M&A. He is currently Managing Director of Alliant’s Global M&A group where he helps strategic and financial investors around the world manage and insure their most complex risks.

 

Harry is a retired Partner of Davis Polk & Wardwell where he advised on countless mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, private equity and hedge fund matters, and tax controversies throughout his time with the firm.

 

Harry has also been involved in several educational endeavors, serving as Dean and Professor of Law from 2016 to 2019 at Touro Law Center. He is an adjunct Professor of Law at New York University Law School where he began teaching in 2004.

 

Harry holds a B.A., M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D from Yale University where he graduated with honors. He also holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School
